The gown has puff sleeves that are typical of late '30s, early '40s fashion. On the cuffs, there's topstitching that adds contrast. That same topstitch trapunto-type detail is repeated on the extreme collar piped in black. This closes with big black frog style closures in keeping with the Asian theme of the dressing gown. The entire robe is lined in white silk. It also has a contrasting black silk sash belt.
