We love a great cotton vintage 50s dress and this one, in black, fits the bill perfectly. It's cute, yet has that certain man-slayer quality that one ought to have in a frock. It's got a very fitted bodice with a terrific ruched cummerbund waist that features a neat bow in the center. The sleeves are slightly capped and the skirt is waaaay full with lots of pleating for your dancing pleasure. (We've shown this with a fairly full crinoline, but you don't need a crini to work this skirt.)

The dress also has a scant amount of scattered little embroidered flowers on the skirt and bodice. We love how those flowers stand out against the black cotton. The dress closes with a metal zipper in the back and was made by Bobbie Brooks.

Clearly lovely vintage--that's what you'll find at lucitebox. This one's definitely a staff favorite!

Condition:
VERY GOOD to GOOD. There is a tear at the armpit, previously patched. At the hem of the skirt there are three small pin size holes near the hem in different places. Hard to notice.
