Adorable Vintage 40s Skirt and Top in Fab Plaid -
SOLD
Here's the sort of daywear we adore. It's a two piece ensemble from the 1940's in a gorgeous plaid. This all cotton affair is crisp, clean and ready-to-wear.
The blouse is pure drama. It's got a wonderful silhouette with ultra puffy shoulders and a huge, pointy collar. We're smitten with the row of tiny pearly buttons, too. The skirt is anything but ordinary. Note--the plaid is perfectly matched on center. This lovely gored skirt is worn high at the waist and accented with a ruched cummerbund that ties in the back with a flourish. The skirt zips in the back with a metal zipper.
These two pieces are obviously fantastic together, but imagine the ways that they can be worn on their own. We expect the top to make an appearance in your wardrobe nearly every season. The skirt can easily work with sandals in Summer. The plaid is dark enough that in early Fall, you can pair it with tights and boots.
These are statement pieces but they're not all stuffy and serious. They're fun. They're equally as cute as they are dramatic. We have an inkling that you're going to have a blast in them, too.
