Big Knotty Button Vintage 60s Plaid Day Dress -
SOLD
People who love vintage are usually taken by the unique and interesting details that are, more often than not, found on a garment of a certain age. This one is from the early '60s and it has so much sass, if it were a kid, it'd probably be having a water balloon fight in the house.
The strongest details are those big knotty ball buttons. Take a look at them, will you? Yeee! Splat! (Just like getting hit with a water balloon in the face.) There are six in all and they line the shirt waist style bodice of the dress. They're entirely functional, too. An easy-to-wear, flowing, gathered skirt and a self-fabric belt bring it all together. One other detail that we wouldn't want to fail to mention is the adorable cotton plaid fabric. It's in shades of bright and pale turquoise...so cute!
If you like your day dresses to leave an impression, wear this dress. We suggest that you leave the water balloons behind, though. You know...just as a courtesy to those who wish to remain dry.
Condition:
Very good. Dress is freshly laundered and free of any holes. There is some slight yellowing on the top button. You can see that in the 2nd to last photo. It's incredibly subtle.
