This casual, YSL johnny collar shirt dress dates to the early 90s (which apparently is in fact now hitting the markets as vintage these days.) The dress is a stretchy wool knit that has an easy-fit and a classic silhouette. It's got three buttons at the neck and even includes two slash pockets at the hip. It slips over the head. The dress has the Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche label and was made in France.

We like to imagine this being worn with high quality tall boots and tights and a very big colorful slouchy shoulder bag. It seems like it would also lend itself to being worn over a very fitted, long sleeve patterned t-shirt---perhaps something with stripes.

Really. Who wouldn't be able to parlay a classic black dress into something great? You can't go wrong with something that's made by one of the greatest designer's of our time, now can you?
