Darling Daisy Print Vintage 50s Fun Shirt Dress -
SOLD
We don't like to sell items that require apologies, but here's a case where the inherent adorableness of the item wins out over minor flaws detailed below and at right.
And what a darling this dress is. It's a classic 1950s shirtwaist dress that's adorned with little chunky rhinestone buttons. The print is as cute as can be--scattered daisies in red and white all flying around on a background that's navy with textural looking faux-tweedness. (See close-up. Please.)
The bodice has darts to flatter your figure and a few pleasing pleats adjacent to the button placket. There's an attached string tie at the neck. The dress has those darling pudgy little shoulder pads frequently seen in late '40s/early '50s dressmaking. Matching belt adds authenticity.
Imagine going somewhere in this dress. Like, a picnic, or on a bike ride, or to the farmer's market. You will charm the daisies right off of everyone, especially if you wear your red shoes.
Condition:
GOOD. We're sorry that the off-white cuffs on this dress have under arm stains on both cuffs. That may be removable. There are also a couple of minor spots on the white collar. You may find that you can remove them with Oxy. Last photos show the worst of the issues. Chubby little shoulder pads are worn and slightly frayed. Of course, that will not show when you're wearing the dress. This is sold AS IS and is not returnable.
