Flaming Foliage Vintage 50s Cotton Day Dress -
This crisp cotton dress moves from Summer to Fall with ease. It's got a bright tiger lily orange print with shades of gray, tan and blackish brown. It's an abstracted floral, but we think it looks like tufts of flowers bursting into flames. It's vivid and strange. Do you see melting orange lilies? Birds of Paradise and lava shooting into the atmosphere? Black crows in a corn field? Well then, you need to get yourself to a shrink. Geez. It's just a print. And what a weird and wonderful one at that!
The dress is from the '50s. It's got a very fitted feminine bodice with little bows at the center, each dotted with two rhinestones. The waist is gathered. Below that, a few inches of fabric, then another seam...sort of like a dropped waist only it's not fitted in that fashion. (You can see that seam work in photo #3.) Full skirt falls in a lovely fashion. We've shown this with a light crinoline to show off the print, We think it actually looks better without a petticoat.
Cotton cutie--weird and wonderful--it's a vintage 50s flaming floral. Delight in it.
Good to very good. One mark on bodice. Looks like a mark from sticky tape, Two rhinestones replaced with newer stones. See last 2 photos for flaws.
