Graphic Vintage 50s Striped Black & Blue Dress -

So Bold and So Fun!
Yipes! We love these bold stripes. The arrangement of the stripes makes for an eye-catching contrast of horizontal, diagonal and vertical stripes. The colors are great, too. Black bands, gray bands and even bright blue bands -- all further accentuated by bright blue plastic buttons.
This is the kind of '50s dress we adore. The dress is made of sturdy cotton. It's a shirt waist style with plenty of details to keep it interesting. It's got short sleeves that button at the bicep with one of those bright blue buttons. The skirt is quite full and nicely gathered at the waistline. Bodice had tabs on the yoke (there's the blue button again.) The dress zips on the side with a metal zipper and has its original belt.
If you can overlook the minor flaws (which do not render this in any way unwearable) you're gonna love these stripes, too!
Condition:
GOOD. This is being sold AS IS. Spot on the skirt (see 2nd to last photo.) It's hidden in the tucks of the skirt. The gray stripe is about 1/2" wide for a sense of scale. Last photo shows some discoloration at the shoulder and armhole area. The other shoulder is also discolored, but hardly noticeable. You might detect the problem in the close-up--the gray has a brownish tone to it. I think it was burned by a hot iron. There's a tiny pin dot hole on the shoulder. Dress has been washed and is free of odors. No returns--sold AS IS. Honestly--this is totally wearable as is.
