Grown-Up Mod Vintage 60s Black Detailed Dress -
SOLD
There's a certain vibe to this dress. We like to call itl
"grown-up mod" It looks more sedate that all that Youthquake mod '60s stuff, but still takes on a definitive stance that's tinged with elegant mod-ness.
The dress is made of thick black wool (perhaps wool gabardine). It's got lovely details--princess seaming, fully lined, excellent cap sleeves and sculptural armscye. But the real kick here is the faux Persian lamb fur trim. What's not to love about those over-sized patch pockets and that contrasting trim on the banded neck?
Pair this grown-up mod number with some expensive tall black boots (don't bother with cheap shoes), and a luxe coat and you're set. It's a winter look that's anything but frigid. Yeah, it's hot all right.
Condition:
Very good to excellent. There were a few stitches put in the underarms because they were stressed. All better now. VERY minor wear at corners/edges of pockets--barely discernable.
