Jewel Tone Vintage 50s Shirtwaist Dress -
Who doesn't love a shirtwaister? They're so comfortable and easy to wear that they're pretty much the perfect dress--even for a "non-dress" lady.
This one is cute! It's made of slinky, nylon acetate fabric. Nifty little pill-sized ovals in rich deep ruby, dark purple and burgundy zip around the print. Rhinestone buttons run all the way up the dress and finish just above a little keyhole on the neckline. The turn-back cuffs add some sass to three-quarter sleeves. The skirt has a few pleats (the good kind that don't add bulk) at the waist. This dress has the Demi Tasse by Bay State label. The label claims it's "styled and sized for the junior woman" but you know what? This is a hard-to-find larger size.
Thinking of adding a shirt waist to your repertoire? You could do a lot worse than this charming thing.
VERY GOOD. One small hole near the button placket.
