Kamehameha Vintage 60s Hawaiian Pake Mu Mu'u Dress -  SOLD
Amazing Dramatic Sleeves
Next to bombshell Shaheen sarongs of the 50s, the pake mu mu'u is our favorite of all the Hawaiian dresses. They're so bold and so dramatic. This one is from the 60s and made by the venerable Kamehameha. It's authentic Hawaiiana made of all cotton.

Flowers in rich rusty browns, chartreuses, and poppy oranges pop off the tan background. If that wasn't enough, the big bat wing sleeves are lined in bright lime green cotton. That same vivid green comprises the mandarin collar and frog closure. Talk about a spectacular use of color and print, huh?

This dress just slips over the head. Long side slits are trimmed in green cotton. This is one wicked wahini.

If you are mad for tropical delights, it just doesn't get anymore delightful than this.

Condition:
VERY GOOD to GOOD, there is pin prick sized spot on the dress shown circled in a photo at right. The tiny spot is below the bust. There's a repair on the side of the dress, low back of hip area about 1/4" darned. Tiniest amount of fading on inside of collar that doesn't show when the dress is worn.
