Lipstick Kiss Vintage 50s Silky Rayon Dress -
SOLD
There's a reason that this is a favorite at Lucitebox. It's graphic and modern, yet also very feminine and sweet. We adore 50s dresses and this one from the later part of the decade is just perfect. There's an artsy quality to the print that reminds of us of lipstick traces, scribbled kisses or even abstract polka dots. The dress is just plain fun and flirty. The colors are lovely. The dress is deepest (nearly black) navy with an off-white and raspberry print.
The bodice is saucy. Just under the bustine there's a curvy seam that really does much to enhance the bosom. It's accented with some matched piping which repeats at the waist and finishes in a little flirty tie/bow.
Oh, and what about the skirt? It's a split curvy petal shape that's elegantly detailed.
We're pretty sure this is a silky rayon fabric. The dress is fully lined. It's got a long metal zipper in the back. Originally offered by Bernice Mottz who apparently understood the meaning of "distinctive clothes."
We imagine this simple knock-out functioning perfectly from day to evening. Surely, you'll find reason to wear it.

EXCELLENT --just very, very minor fade on one armpit. It's barely noticeable and just a tiny sliver size of staining. Truly not worth worrrying about.
