Mythical Fantasy Print Vintage 50s Full Skirt Dress -
Whatever the fantasy story that's being depicted on this dress, we're sure this dress will be a conversation starter. It's from the '50s and made of cotton. The dress buttons all the way down the front with dark navy plastic buttons dotted with shiny rhinestones. The bodice is fitted and has flip-back fin cuffs on the capped sleeves. There's a slim navy leatherette belt and then the skirt features a huge sweep. It's comprised of huge gores that move and flow when it's worn.
Now about that print. We see: a jaguar, trees, castles, a lady with a full skirt, deer and a dude on horseback--and that's just a few of the images pulled from this strange and mythical looking print. The colorway is a wonderful raspberry color mixed with blue, green, yellow and tan--all outlined in black.
So fun and full of vigor--this a the reason we love novelty prints from the '50s!
Good. Some yellowing shown in last two photos. (Hidden by the folds in this huge circle skirt.) This has been loved and the cotton print is not as bright as it once was. You can get a sense of that from the close shots which are taken under very bright lights.
