Nautical Vintage 50s Novelty Sailor Print Dress -
You are currently looking at the cutest nautical print on the planet. It features a naval brigade along with a slew of stars and berets thrown in for good measure. (It's so cute, that it caused a recent visitor to the Lucitebox Headquarters to exclaim, "Oh my god! They're little gay sailors!")
The dress is a tent style. It gets some structure with flat pleats at the bust and a self-fabric thin sash belt. Otherwise, the dress is rather loose and free flowing. It's made of rayon. It has a black banded collar and a few buttons at the neckline.
We love this little cutie and hope that you can find it in your heart to love it in spite of the flaw that's clearly shown in the photos. Really, it's a great print and you just might be able to work around the issue and let this vintage dress set sail again.
Fair to Good. The dress has a stain on the skirt that's 4" long and 2 1/2" wide. It could be shortened at the point of the stain. This has been stain treated and it does not come out. It appears to be part of the fabric itself. See closeup photo. There are no other problems with this dress. It's clean and free of holes.
