Sculptural Vintage 80s Thierry Mugler Dress -
SOLD
Fans of Mugler know that his designs are usually sculptural, form-fitting and edgy. What gives this classic 80s Mugler the edge is the surprising fabric choice. Mr. Mugler could have chosen black, but no. He chose a conservative glenplaid in browns and tans. It's that unexpected twist that made fashion's
enfant terrible famous. We just love him for it.
This dress is über structured like a suit. The bodice closes with concealed snaps and is secured at the neck with a big metal belt buckle. That big buckle detail is repeated again at the fake sarong-style wrapped skirt. The dress is built beautifully. It features lots of really wonderful tailoring.
Truly. Mugler made clothes that are iconic and representative of the decade. If you're having an 80s moment, you better believe this Mugler withstands the test of time. We suppose only time will tell how long it lasts on Lucitebox.com

EXCELLENT. There is a teeny tiny spot on the bodice. It may come out with cleaning. We haven't tried.
