Smart Vintage 70s Logo Print Lanvin Dress -
SOLD
We're not the kind to get excited about logo prints because we don't think they really signify status, but rather a lack of imagination on the part of the wearer. Having written that, give us something vintage that's festooned with logos and we'll happily wear it!
Here's a nice dress. It's vintage Lanvin that features a black logo print on cream. We like this one because it's sophistication lies in the fact that only those "in the know" are going to know what it is. Isn't it nice to add a little wink to your wardrobe?
Jeanne Lanvin, a time honored name fashion, is re-vamped with little pops of "JL, JL, JL" in a repeated print by Jules-Francois Crahay who designed for Lanvin until the 80s. This dress likely dates from the 70s and it's made of cool, slinky polyester. It feels a lot like silk--so much so that you might be fooled by it's smooth and soft hand.
A classic shirtwaist style dress like this is smart and chic. This tunic style dress buttons just to the waist where it's cinched with a self-fabric tie belt. There are tiny slits on either side of the skirt.
We like to imagine this one paired with some tall black boots and tights. And, if you must, feel free to carry it with your designer bag, but please--no other logos allowed.
