This one is from the late '50s. It's cotton. It's got a winged collar that's topstitched to match the button placket. And then--ahem...the buttons! What a darling detail. Each button has a little fabric tie in the center.

The dress buttons to the waist and has a self-fabric belt. It's got two patch pockets on the wide skirt. And then there's the pattern of scrolling details, paisley designs and flowers that looks like a watercolor painting. It's a real mood enhancer.
