Dramatic Fashion Mark Vintage 50s Black Cocktail Dress -
SOLD
Imagine this dress worn with nerdy glasses. Our model, Sabrina, is holding a ruler ready to spank someone. Now, let's get this straight. It's not our policy to indulge in sexual stereotypes, but if this dress doesn't say sexy school marm, then you'll just have to work to erase that ruler- holding glasses-clad bad girl from your mind. How about sexy secretary...hmmm? Okay...back to the policy. Let's just talk about the dress.
And what a dress this is! It's a vintage '50s dress that is jet black and trimmed in shiny black taffeta. The cuffs, collar and flounced skirt combine to give the best black on black details imaginable. The dress buttons all the way to the drop waist with self-fabric buttons. It has princess seaming that hugs the curves emphasizing an hourglass silhouette. The broad and bold split collar is fabulous and dramatic. In fact the whole of it is drama with a capital "D," but in a saucy, sexy covered-up manner. Notice the buttons on the decorative French style cuffs--each is dotted with a shiny rhinestone.
Puritanical, sexy pilgrim? Maybe. But remember, we don't like to conjure up these kinds of stereotypes. Let's just allow this stunning dress speak for itself, okay?
