Pretty Vintage 50s Chantilly Lace Party Dress -
Pretty. Pretty. Pretty. This lovely lace dress is a Norman Original from the '50s. The color is rich. It's café au lait with a hit of carmel to add warmth and depth. This hue looks wonderful on most skin tones. If the color isn't enough, the lace is gorgeously detailed. The entire front of the dress is scattered with small pearly beads sewn to the intricate rose patterned lace.
The simple cap sleeved bodice is accentuated with wonderful seam work at the waist. Dramatic waist seams give way to a back view that's heavenly. In the back, the dress dips down low and all that pointy basque waist style seaming finishes in a fantail effect. There's extra fabric back there, cut on the bias, so that when you walk the dress sways and swishes. This fish tail effect is mesmerizing when the dress is in movement.
This closes with a metal zipper in the back. At the lower back, there's a row of hooks and eyes.
We love vintage party dresses. This one ought to be the hit of any gala affair. We also think this would be a tremendous choice for a wedding.
Perfect. No flaws.
