Sharp Vintage 40s Zig Zag Detailed Black Dress -

This classic black War Time dress has just the right amount of quirky detailing that knocks it out of the park.
It's made of black crepe. The bodice buttons asymmetrically and it's trimmed shiny rayon satin zigzags that accents the button placket. The dress has three huge plastic buttons, each with a clear plastic, effervescent looking center. You have to see the detail photos of these buttons. Notice how the edge of this chunky button has a saw blade/zigzag design that echoes the trim on the bodice. The sleeves are 3/4 length and have gentle pleating at the elbow. Shoulders are padded, skirt is gored and the dress has a button closure at the side (likely because it was made during WWII.)

Condition:
Good. The dress is clean and free of stains. It has been dry cleaned recently. The crepe is probably not as black as it once was and there is some ironing shine on the bodice. The closure at the side seam is made of cotton which has faded. One of the buttons centers has a subtle brown coloration that appears to be glue. There are a few tiny picks in the crepe. Belt is missing. The belt shown is not included.
