Gorgeous Vintage 50s New Look Swing Coat -
Rich black wool comes to life in this wonderful 50s coat from Bobbie Burns. This rivals anything by Lilli Ann and could easily pose as something from that fabulous coat maker. It's impeccably made and beautifully designed. This coat has all the details we love--asymmetrical closure, a large oversize collar, and a truly lush striped lining.
The coat buttons in the front and features an extra button to close the collar fully. If you want an open neckline, just leave that top button open. There are concealed snaps to hold this closed. And, the wool is extremely heavy. This is a dress coat that will actually keep warm!
We love that this swing coat has a very full skirt and allows for maximum crinoline wear underneath. The waist is slim enough to really give you that wasp waist feel in contrast with the big sweep on the coat. We love the full sleeves, too.
Made by Bobbie Burns in Chicago, this was originally sold at Lytton's. Quality? Indeed.
Want a very nicely weighted coat that looks stylish and keeps you warm? You can''t do much better than this.
Excellent--the button has been moved to make it larger. You can put it back if you choose.
