Pinky Coral Vintage 40s/50s Swing Coat Fur Ascot -

Prettiest pinky coral trimmed up in a lush, rich, fur ascot and cuffs--could there be a finer way to stay warm while wearing your vintage frocks? Not likely.
This smashing swing coat is from the very late '40s or possibly the '50s. It's made of nubby bouclé wool. The fur accents are marmot which is shiny, sleek and wonderfully rich. The fur is so very smooth and not in the least bit dry. Instead of a typical fur collar, this one acts as an over-sized ascot with one side of the huge tie threading through a large loop in the other side. What a fabulous design detail. For added drama, the cuffs are trimmed in marmot, too.
Inside, the coat is lined in coral crepe. It's got an interior tie to hold it to the body. Then, there's a concealed snap at the waist area. What else? Oh yes. You'll be delighted to see the interior of the sleeve on this coat. It's a crepe lining that's finished with a perfect buttoned cuff made of boucle wool. What better way to ward off the cold than a cuff that's secure and fitted at the wrist?

Condition:
Near Perfect. Lining free of holes. One dime size spot in the lining near the neckline. Not visible when worn. One small darned spot in lining that's near the hip area. The tie closure has been repaired by hand and could re-done in a more secure fashion. these flaws are very hard to find. Coat is clean and free of pulls or stains. Minor wear on necktie where fur loops through. All flaws very minor. See photos.
