There's a resurgence in interest in Vera Salaff Neumann and we're pretty happy about that. We're excited to see this American designer being recognized (again/still) for her amazing textile designs and her many contributions to world of fashion design and home textiles.
This silk blouse dates from the '60s and it is, indeed, a terrific example of Vera's singular style. The artistry that is uniquely Vera Neumann shines through in the bold butterfly print. If you look very closely at the butterflies' tiny antennae, you can almost sense Vera's hand in the delicate parts of this drawing. It's magical, really.
This is a simple silk tunic in black or deepest dark navy. It's hard to say for sure, but it is certainly a striking graphic statement piece. It's got bracelet sleeves and a neatly notched hem.
The top zips in the back with a long nylon zipper. It's very soft, lightweight, slightly sheer silk.

VERY GOOD. Three spots total. None particularly noticeable. They are smaller than this line ____, There is some discoloration on inside of cotton zipper and neckline (as shown.) There is a tiny fray at the bottom of the zipper which will need to be fray checked.
