Darling Vintage 50s Pink Carnation Print Skirt -
SOLD
Look at Monet's gardens in Giverny and it's easy to see where the Preppies got their inspiration to wear pink and green together. The combo is in sync because it's a lush color combo that's often found in nature.
This vintage 50s skirt is made from crisp cotton--the print is bright and vivid. The skirt appears as if it has seldom been worn. The skirt is full with nice pleats encircling it. There are belt loops at the waist, and a metal side zipper.
Lovely as a garden in France, this adorable vintage skirt will be a fabulous addition to any wardrobe, especially one that's heavy on Prep style. We'd love to see it with a pair of pink Jack Rogers sandals and a simple white oxford blouse.
Condition:
There are two spots on the skirt low on the front, each shown in the photos at right. One is a small dark smudge that probably cannot be removed. It is about 1" long. The smaller spot (last photo) is barely visible. It's about 3/4" long and very faint. That one might be able to be removed, but we didn't attempt it for fear of affecting the surrounding print. Depending on your height, the spots should hit below the knee.
