Very Best Vintage 50s/60s Cat Novelty Print Full Skirt -
SOLD
Awwww...
How often does a vintage 50s era full skirt that's this adorable show up in this world? Once in a never. More often than not, these cute skirts have a very small waist measurement. Naturally, we are very pleased to offer this one in a hard-to-find size XL?XXL size.
Kittehs! Kittens! Cats! Cute overload! What else do you need to know? This vintage skirt is made of cotton. The novelty border print that runs all the way around the skirt. The trompe l'oeil basket /wicker print is repeated on the waist band and hem. It's crisp and clean and freshly laundered. There is a button closure at the waist and a side gusset. The seamstress who made this must have been lacking in zipper installation skills because it doesn't have one. You could add one, close it with a few hooks and eyes, or wear it as is.
We are huge fans of vintage novelty prints and this one is a real prize. It is utterly darling. Now, what color cardigan are you going to wear with it?
Condition:
Very good to excellent. We are extremely picky and noticed a few small spots in the pleats/gathers that are nearly impossible to see and were only visible in bright light while ironing the skirt. These do not show up in a close-up photo because they're so faint.
