Atomic Blues Vintage 50s Jacket Skirt Crepe Suit -
SOLD
When an atomic print like this one walks into our doors, we're delighted in spite of some of the condition issues. Fortunately, this smashing number is still wearable, and, as you can see, this print is killer.
This vintage two piece suit set dates from the late '50s and is made of slinky crepe fabric. The fitted two button jacket is trimmed in black faille. The skirt has a scattering of pleats that give it some swing. The real standout of this ensemble is the gorgeous mid century modern print that practically screams "atomic era!" The colorway is utterly divine--all teals and chartreuse greens accented with black--what a knock-out color combo.
This is being sold AS IS, however, we assure you that it's up to snuff and is wearable despite any flaws. Most of them are barely noticeable because the print seems to hide them quite nicely.
Condition:
Good to very good. The faille ribbon trim on the cuffs is slightly faded and has iron shine. The crepe on the button has some wear. There are three very small holes at the top of the shoulder near the seam, probably from being hung on a metal hanger. There's fraying inside the jacket where the hook closure is sewn to the interior. This doesn't show when worn and seems sturdy in spite of the fraying. This is being sold AS IS.
