Gunmetal Gray Vintage 50s Curvy Waist Suit -
SOLD
It's not often we come across a classic gray suit like this in a warm weather weight textile. This one is probably from the late 40s / early 50s and it is totally perfect for Spring and Summer. It's made of a soft cotton and rayon blend fabric. The rich gray material has flat woven designs in it that give the fabric a textural quality... see those little diamond shapes and squares in the close-up? They're reminiscent of the prints on mens' ties--all business in a lady-like fashion.
The jacket has three quarter length sleeves and folded fabric insets at the hip and yoke. The shawl collar makes it ideal for pairing with a basic tee or simple blouse. It's definitely feminine with form-fitting, curvy emphasizing seams at the waist and flip back cuffs for extra drama. The skirt is an a-line in a longer length with kick pleats front and back center. It zips on the side with a metal zipper. The label is I. Doctor.
We are smitten with this summer suit. It has all kinds of possibilities and makes office dressing a snap when the temperatures rise. Smart, sharp and classic--it's just what the doctor ordered for Spring.
