Opulent Vintage 60s Evening Dress & Jacket -
When we saw this textile, both Sabrina and I knew this was a special thing. (She even went on to say that it "felt absolutely wonderful to wear this stunning dress and jacket combo.") Take it from Sabrina, mannequin to the stars, this ensemble is rich. It's regal. It's beautiful.
The textile is very unusual. It's a matelassé (or is it brocade?) that has oyster/silvery colored small dots that form bigger concentric dots. It's also flecked with tiny sparkly gold fibers which are magical in the right light.
The dress is a short sleeved affair that's fitted and accented with a bow at the waistline. The skirt is a classic a-line with a slit up the front. The jacket is beautifully form fitting--so sculpted and so beautifully designed. We couldn't help but notice the slightly quirky lapels.
Made by Helga, a California design duo that made evening wear and better suits and dresses, this vintage 60s suit is just impeccable.
The dress closes with a long nylon zipper. The jacket has besom button holes and the entire ensemble is fully lined.
We're pleased to present you this opulent dinner suit. It's a jewel among so many sedate and sometimes uninspired dress/jacket sets. This one is, indeed, quite unique.

This matelassé fabric has sparkly gold flecks in it. The dots that appear white here are actually a pearly/oyster color, almost silver.
