Bombshell Cutie with Nauctical Seashell Print
We're thrilled to offer this vintage bathing suit that likely dates to the late 70s/early 80s. It's made of cotton and features a big white sea shell print on a ground of dark, deep sea navy. This one is has definite sailor girl appeal. It's just adorable.The suit is manufactured by Sun Fashions of Honolulu, Hawaii. Made the softest polished cotton with all manner of sea shells printed in white, you can't go wrong with a flattering cut like this one.
Naturally, navy is a slimming color. The boycut legs make this thoroughly charming and easy to wear. The bust enhancing, sweetheart bodice has a perfectly placed gathering. This suit rivals even the best of Hawaiian dresses. In fact, if you're feeling ambitious, you could make a white or navy circle skirt or sarong to pair with the suit and re-fashion it into a dress.
There's elasticized ruching or shirring on the sides and two button hole adjustable straps. The shorts are lined with built-in cotton bloomers. Those are concealed. The top has a perfect built-in bra for further support. There is a long nylon zipper in the back.
Just add flip flops and a fruity drink and you're set for the sun. If you're lucky enough to own a yacht, by all means, don't forget to don your captain's hat and add a flick of red lipstick.
